My Work
As a Dutch watercolor traveling artist I’ve painted the most beautiful places and remarkable people, from Scotland and Iceland to Thailand.
My work is about capturing the essence through the art of leaving out, with just a few brushstrokes and a few vibrant colors and lots of space. What I leave out, enhances what I do paint.
Workshops
From this passion grew my watercolor workshops and masterclasses, that take place in beautiful locations in the Netherlands and, upon request, abroad.
Whether beginner of advanced, students are not encouraged to paint exactly like me. Instead, each participant is personally guided in discovering their own way of seeing and translating a subject into expressive watercolors. The focus lies on learning what to leave out, what to emphasize and how simplicity can strengthen a painting.
